Counterfeiting & Piracy Is A Crime.
American businesses lose up to $250 billion annually
from knock offs, according to figures released in a Senate hearing. Federal
officials seized $138 million in counterfeited goods in 2004, up from $94
million in 2003. Counterfeit clothing currently accounts for about 18
percent of seized items in the US. Law enforcement
officials and other experts have testified that counterfeit clothing and other
goods have been traced to supporters of terror organizations.
Most counterfeit items come from China, United Arab
Emirates, Pakistan and Russia.
The most counterfeited Items include:

-
Louis Vuitton
-
Nike
-
Microsoft
-
Gucci
-
Prada
The scope of the counterfeiting problem in fashion or fashion
accessories/jewelry is beyond comprehension. "knock-off's" or counterfeit
jeans, tennis shoes, purses, wrist watches, or other items in some instances
may add up to 50% market share, worldwide. Aside from being theft, and or
piracy, the consumer typically ends with a product of much lower quality. It
is the goal of Americas Watchdog's Global Piracy & Counterfeiting
Consultants to seek criminal prosecution of any individual or company
involved in the counterfeiting of any product. By marrying our investigative
skills to law enforcement we intend to make it much more difficult and
costly to counterfeit any product, and then sell the product to a consumer
or export the product to any country.
